This Privacy Policy explains how AEBM Publishing, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), which operates dramymyers.com (the "Site"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information about visitors, newsletter subscribers, and people who contact us.

This policy covers the Site only. Our related sites, including AmyMyersMD.com (supplements and products) and Dr. Myers' Inner Circle (membership), have their own privacy policies, which govern information collected there.

By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you give us, information collected automatically when you use the Site, and limited information from third parties.

Information you provide directly

  • Newsletter and free resources: your email address (and name, if requested) when you join our newsletter, request free resources, or sign up for book announcements.
  • Contact, press, and speaking inquiries: your name, email address, organization, phone number, and the contents of your message.
  • Podcast pitches: your name, contact details, and any biographical or topic information you submit.
  • Communications: any information you include when you email us or respond to our messages.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies: see Section 4. The Site currently uses Google Tag Manager and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, among others.
  • Email engagement: whether you open our emails and which links you click.

Information from third parties

  • Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok) when you interact with our accounts or embedded content.
  • Advertising and analytics partners, who may share information about how you reached the Site.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Send the newsletter, free resources, and book or product announcements you requested.
  • Respond to contact, press, speaking, and podcast inquiries.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
  • Understand how visitors use the Site and measure the performance of our content and campaigns.
  • Show you advertising for our books, programs, and products on other websites and social platforms, and measure that advertising.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases: your consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies), performance of a contract or steps you asked us to take (sending a resource you requested), our legitimate interests (running and improving the Site, responding to inquiries, preventing abuse), and legal obligation.

Global Privacy Control. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising, where required by law. [Confirm the Site is configured to do this.]

Do Not Track. Because there is no common standard for "Do Not Track" signals, we do not respond to them, other than GPC as described above.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described below.

  • Service providers that act on our behalf, such as website hosting, email marketing Kajabi, form processing, and analytics. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Affiliated businesses under common ownership, including AMMD™, by Amy Myers MD® Dr. Myers' Inner Circle, for the purposes in this policy.
  • Advertising partners such as Meta and Google, which receive device and browsing information through pixels and tags. Under some U.S. state laws, this may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out as described in Section 8.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

6. Health-Related Information

The Site provides general educational content and is not a medical practice; using it does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Information you share through the Site is not protected health information under HIPAA.

Please do not send personal health details, diagnoses, lab results, or medical records through our contact forms or by email. If you choose to share them, we will use them only to respond to you and will not use them for advertising.

Because our content focuses on autoimmune, thyroid, and gut health, visiting certain pages may suggest a health interest. Some state laws, such as Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law, treat this as consumer health data. 7. Data Retention and Security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, then delete or anonymize it.

  • Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus a short period to honor your opt-out.
  • Inquiries: up to 2 years after we last correspond, unless an ongoing relationship requires longer.
  • Analytics data: per the retention setting in our analytics tools 14 months.
  • Legal records: as long as required by law.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to systems holding personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights over your personal information.

  • Access: know what personal information we have collected about you and receive a copy.
  • Correction: fix inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Portability: receive your information in a usable format.
  • Opt out: of the sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising, and of profiling with legal or similarly significant effects.
  • Limit use of sensitive information, where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
  • Object or restrict processing (EEA/UK residents), and complain to your local data protection authority.

U.S. state residents. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have some or all of these rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. California residents may also request information about disclosures for direct marketing under California's "Shine the Light" law.

How to make a request. To exercise any of the rights described above, email us at [email protected] or write to us at the address listed in Section 14 (Contact Us). To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, you may (a) submit a request using the contact details in Section 14; or (b) enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, which we will treat as a valid opt-out request. Before fulfilling a request to access, correct, or delete personal information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity, which generally involves confirming your email address. Opt-out requests do not require identity verification. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, generally 45 days for access, correction, and deletion requests and 15 business days for opt-out requests. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may require the agent to provide your signed written permission and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line. If you disagree with the outcome, you may contact your state attorney general.

9. Marketing Communications

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time with the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every message, or by emailing [email protected]. We will still send non-marketing messages, such as replies to your inquiries.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International Users

The Site is operated in the United States, and your information will be processed there. U.S. data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we use safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.
